Joan Lee

Joan Lee is currently a junior student majoring in Political Science at USC. She has studied biology for two years at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, but with her recent, personal experiences regarding the American healthcare system and immigration system, she decided to transfer and switch majors in order to make a bigger impact through public policy on the conflicts she experienced firsthand within her own communities. Joan has had a great impact on her community through volunteering and charities, and she continues to strive to make an impact within her new environment at USC. Growing up under Korean-immigrant parents, Joan is fluent in Korean and has a close experience with Korean history and culture. In her free time, Joan enjoys reading and painting, and she hopes to also start a career as an author later on in life.
